2025 USTA & USTA Southern League Regulations
These National and Southern regulations apply to all levels of USTA League play in the USTA Southern Section. No changes are allowed by local or State League Coordinators or Committees.

Major Regulation Changes for 2025 (USTA)
• Grievances may be filed for full team defaults or retirements. Penalties may follow per suspension system guidelines.
• NTRP Dynamic Disqualification will be enforced for all National Championship-advancing Mixed League divisions.
Major Regulation Changes for 2025 (USTA Southern)
• Players with valid computer ratings (after appeals) above their level may finish State/District Championships but cannot advance to Nationals/Southern Championships.
• States/Districts may choose formats for State Championships.
• $100 fee required for medical appeal submissions (refunded only if reviewed at National level).
Valid NTRP Ratings for 2025
• Age 59 & Under: Ratings valid for 3 years.
• Age 60 & Over: Ratings valid for 2 years.
• Players with expired ratings must self-rate; exceptions apply for specific rating types.
• Self-ratings valid for 2 years or until replaced by a computer/dynamic rating.
NTRP Dynamic Disqualification
Not subject to disqualification:
• Computer-rated (C)
• Mixed Exclusive (M)
• Tournament Exclusive (T)
Subject to disqualification:
• Self-rated (S)
• Appealed (A)
• Disqualified (D)
Promoted players must immediately compete at their new level.
Matches Required for Championship Advancement
Retired matches count for advancement.
National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) Overview
• Governs player skill levels for USTA League.
• Ratings based on match results from USTA League and select tournaments.
• Self-ratings required for players without valid NTRP ratings.
• Year-end ratings calculated after Nationals.
• Mixed-Only players get Mixed Ratings unless prior Computer rating exists.
General USTA League Regulations Highlights
