About SCTA

Who We Are & Our History

It’s Not Just A Lifestyle, It’s a Passion

Established in 1993, the Southern Crescent Tennis Association (SCTA), a non-profit organization, made a name for itself through tennis events and tournaments, growing an enthusiastic tennis-loving community without fail. At SCTA, we believe tennis is an excellent outlet for recreation and healthy living, with a strong emphasis on community outreach and an inclusive attitude.

SCTA offers a variety of products, events, and tournaments available for people of all levels and abilities. As a local league, we specialize in tennis exclusively for Georgia counties Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, and Spalding.

Making tennis accessible for every athlete

Special Pops Tennis

Southern Crescent Tennis Association is proud to support Special Pops Tennis, a program serving Fayette County students with disabilities. Most participants are high school age, though some are a little older. Many of these student athletes have Down syndrome or are on the autism spectrum.

Through Special Pops, SCTA volunteers provide coaching, mentoring, and encouragement to help these athletes learn the game and enjoy the fun of tennis. Twice each year, our volunteers assist student athletes in competing in Special Olympics tennis events, giving them the chance to showcase their skills in a supportive and uplifting environment.

In 2025, SCTA was honored to receive a grant from USTA Southern to help grow and sustain the Special Pops program. This support allows us to continue making a meaningful impact through the sport we love.
